One-Acts Place Third at State

The One-Act season came to an end last Friday after performing The Crucible in front of a jam packed audience at state in Kearney. The team placed third, behind Laurel-Concord and David City. In a performance that many would label as their best of the season, the Bulldogs went out with a bang...and a hang (get it?).
Bridgeport, who actually tied David City for 2nd place, placed 3rd after losing out on judges' preference. It was a tough loss for the Bulldogs, but overall, the Bulldogs had a very successful season.
Individual actresses and actors that were recognized were Tonya B. as Tituba, Alex C. as John Proctor, and Trent A. as Reverend Parris. Laurel-Concord was able to win both the best actor and best actress awards.
Mrs. Dohse and myself would like to thank the students for all their hard work and dedication to this year's production. Thank you to parents for supporting our program through attendance, food, and late-night practices. A special thanks goes out to Mike and Toni Blomenkamp for letting us use their trailer all season.
