What subject areas and grades do you work with? I help to take care of the medical needs and health needs of students in grades K-12 students and staff members.

What degrees do you hold? Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Minor in Biology
What is your favorite thing about teaching? Communicating with students of all ages; watching them grow from Kindergarten on up; helping students realize their potential as individuals -- in and out of the classroom
Tell us about your family. I have been married to Monte Dean, also of Bridgeport, for twenty-seven years. We have four sons. Jerod, 24 years old, is married to Kelly and they have a daughter, Grace Ann, and are living in Fort Collins, Colorado. Jacob, 22 is a senior at Hastings College majoring in Business Administration and Education. Joshua, 19 is a freshman at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in Biology and plans to pursue a career as a Physician's Assistant. Jase, 16 is a sophomore at Bridgeport High School.
What are your hobbies? Hiking, canoeing, photography, planning vacations for my family
What subject areas and grades do you teach? Puberty classes 4-6th grade; AIDS/HIV classes 7th grade; other general health topics all grades

What are your extra duty assignments? No actual assignments. I like to help Mr. Oltmann with the B-Club; started the KOTB "Kids On The Block" puppet troupe; coordinate the Crisis Team and Emergency Response Team; serve on the School Health Wellness Committee
